Danish Warships to Visit Firth 15/11/2013
Enthusiasts of military vessels will have the opportunity on Sunday 17th November to see two Danish warships in the Cromarty Firth.

The HDMS Peter Willemoes, a Frigate of the Huitfeldt class, will be alongside the Admiralty pier for one day only.

An additional Frigate will be anchored in the Firth at the same time.

The Cromarty Firth has a strong connection to the military, thanks to its use by the Navy during World War II, when the sheltered waters provided safe anchorage for battleships, heavy cruisers and aircraft carriers.

Earlier this year, HMS Sutherland was anchored alongside and is a frequent visitor to the Cromarty Firth.
