Port Contract Win a Boost for Highland Firm 02/04/2013
Cromarty Firth Port Authority has announced it is to partner with Inverness based Caley Marina, after they were successfully awarded a major contract for the re-engineering of one of the Port's pilot boats.  This contract was awarded after Caley Marina won a competitive tendering process.

The Udale Bay pilot cutter delivers a vital service, supporting the activities of this thriving Port, 24 hours a day.

Captain Ken Gray, Chief Executive and Harbour Master at the Port comments "I am delighted that a local Highland firm has been successful in their bid to undertake this contract and we look forward to working together with Caley Marina.

Jamie Hogan, Managing Director of Caley Marina added "We are thrilled to have won this contract.  We have been operating for 40 years as boat building specialists.  As a business, we have benefited from the oil and gas sector, but are increasingly seeing a demand for our services from the offshore renewables sector.  To be awarded this contract is evidence that there are opportunities for growth for companies like ours."

Ken concluded "The Port is committed to supporting Highland firms and to investing in the infrastructure needed to meet the needs of the growing energy sector."
