The 430 tonne Submerged Transit Loading buoy, which has been a feature of the Invergordon Service Base for more than six months, was towed out to the Ettrick oil field on the UKCS in early December 2007.

The dredger 'Abigail H' owned and operated by Wyre Marine Services of Fleetwood has commenced a 30 day dredging programme at the Invergordon Service Base. Works will include dredging the Queens Dock to 12.25 metres below chart datum and general berth maintenance.

Activities at Invergordon Service Base |

Work is currently underway to extend the Service Base car parking area to accommodate increased demand for parking when oil rigs are being refurbished in the Base. This work is being undertaken by W Matheson (Groundworks) Ltd and is expected to be completed by the end of September.
