Many of the largest subsea contractors use the Cromarty Firth regularly for fabrication, servicing and maintenance, utilising the excellent base at Invergordon with its large lay-down area and fabrication facilities.

Subsea structures can be fabricated locally and there is a local diving industry associated with this fabrication. Approximately 5 miles away is Highland Deephaven where Technip Coflexip Stena Offshore have a major spool-base and pipeline fabrication yard.

There is also an impressive range of experienced and competitive local contractors who are able to assist with any requirement.
