Security

CFPA are the statutory body under the International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) Code, the level of security awareness may change without notice on the instruction of the British Government. ISPS code compliance is mandatory in respect of all vessels within the Cromarty Firth and the international reporting procedures must be strictly complied with. In respect of vessels berthed in the Firth compliance is controlled by the berth operator as follows:

  • Nigg Construction Yard (Kellog Brown and Root)
  • Nigg Oil Terminal (Ithaca Energy)
  • Saltburn Pier (CFPA)
  • Admiralty Pier (Bannerman Company Ltd)
  • Invergordon Service Base (CFPA)
  • Highland Deephaven (Highland Deephaven Ltd)


Access to CFPA property will only be permitted to persons holding an approved security pass; details are available by contacting the Port Office.
