CFPA are pleased to announce new board appointments, following the departure of Jim Cockburn on the 31st December 2007. Jim has been a valued member since joining the board in 2002 and throughout the six years played an active part, in particular chairing the Audit & Performance Management Sub-committee. Mrs Aileen Macinnes joins the Board with effect 1st January 2008. Aileen, who has a degree in Law from the University of Dundee and is a partner in Foggo Macinnes, solicitors in Dingwall, brings to the board legal expertise. Prior to entering private practice Aileen gained legal experience in local government and also worked with the Procurator Fiscal. Also, the Board is pleased to announce that with effect 1st April 2008 Mr John Rennilson will join the Board as a co-opted member. Mr Rennilson has recently retired as Director of Planning and Development for Highland Council, a post which he held for 11 years. John has a lifetime's experience working in local government and planning and is able to bring to the Board his vast knowledge of the Highlands' transport issues. Jimmy Gray, Chairman of CFPA, said 'these two appoinments will strengthen both the knowledge and experience of the Board and assist in further developing the Port Authority; we look forward to working with Aileen and John'. |
