Three rigs in Invergordon |
|
The Cromarty Firth has been a hive of activity with three rigs stationed alongside the Invergordon Service Base for inspection, repair and maintenance work.
The last rig to arrive was the jack-up GSF Galaxy II. She has joined the Sedco 711, which is in the Queens Dock for an extensive refit, and the Safe Bristolia, which was floated off a heavy lift vessel and towed to the base.
The Cromarty Firth is one of the few places in Europe where heavy lift ships can operate and this is the third occasion in the last year that rigs have been floated on and off these vessels in the firth.
